got back from trip to Cuba couple of weeks ago..this country is great source of so much photo material that I was holding the camera almost all the time. People, places..they all have this special sentimental atmosphere wrapped around them, it feels like they are almost frozen in time...antiquitated cars, soviet era buildings, vast landscapes, beatiful beaches, city buzz, Jose Marti, and of course omnipresent Che...and on top of all this there are humblest, friendliest, and open hearted people of Cuba...I am certainly grateful I was able to see the land of my grandfather...THANKS!

Well, I've got myself a gift and bought my first-ever DSLR. From what I've tried, I can say the step in quality from ultrazoom is enormous. Still learning controls, creative settings, and trying to figure out various aperture/shutter/iso combinations for different scenes, doing light postprocessing...wish me luck..until then, enjoy :)
